If I'm totally transparent, I had very little idea what a Rooster Racing bypass valve did when I bought mine. But everyone spoke so highly of it that I figured: hey, let's chuck another 100 or so bucks at my MINI.

I just had it installed and took it for a first drive. When the car went into the garage, I was preparing for motor mounts and maybe worse. The car had a sort of "buck" or "drop" to it (which some call a yo-yo effect); I sometimes thought it was my sloppy shifting or just a really tired MINI.
But the car feels alive and strong now. This simple mod did it. If your R53 feels kind of bumpy, dead, slow, rough, and tired, grab one of these the next time Nigel puts 'em on sale.
Mods, let me know if this isn't allowed. Nigel didn't pay me for this review, though he kinda did by providing a great product.
